I recall watching this movie with my mom before she passed. I was never a Trekkie, preferring Stargate. This quote made me think in great depth. I believe a society free of money is possible. Moreover, it is our last hope.

Not only is it possible, its what we need.

From this video of Alan Alda interviewing Robert Sapolsky.

This needs way more views. Everyone should see this.

I’ve pretty much have bounced from group to group my entire teenage life. To the point I have become more of wanderer than I loner. I enter a group then leave never really feeling entirely accepted and leaving as I came. I guess I’ve felt like more of a visitor then a friend I come and go never really appreciated or wanted. I guess I still the same way towards many of the relationship I’ve formed on here and irl. Its hard to overcome but it still gets to me at times.

I know that feel, bro

theres too many games trying to emulate a “retro 8 bit” feel and not enough trying to emulate a “retro late 90s ham-sized polygon” feel

Those were dark days.

Sure as hell never mention that about him.

His anti-racism views and work are often totally ignored by historians.

Seeing people complain about silly elements like the cardboard box and fulton system “ruining the seriousness” of Phantom Pain makes me fucking sick to my stomach

The Metal Gear games were never too serious to begin with. Sure, the stories took themselves fairly serious, and the messages to be taken from each game have serious meanings to  them ( child soldiers, nuclear war, etc..), but the games are also very tongue-in-cheek (the Sasaki lineage, for example, is a long running gag since what, MGS1?) Either these people aren’t paying attention to the many, many instances of extremely well-placed humor in nearly every installment, or they just want to be the vocal minority. The Metal Gear games are hilarious.
